<p>We are prepared to accept applications from the very best talent from around the world and offer relocation packages in order to secure the right candidate for this role.</p>
<p>Focusing on audio, you will collaborate with the production management team, game direction, and tech-department in executing the overall creative vision of the game. Ongoing responsibilities include: working with a team of sound designers achieving the audio direction set out by the directors and optimizing the way sound is implemented into the game.</p>
<p>You will be involved in aspects of the production from the initial design and technical considerations of sound implementation to collaboration with cross discipline groups. Your goal is to set new standards for audio in games.</p>
<h4>Basic Roles and Responsibilities</h4>
<ul>
<li>Collaborate with the game management team and directors in the design and the execution of the overall vision of the game</li>
<li>Set benchmarks for sound design quality for the internal and external teams</li>
<li>Define workflows, structures and the organization of all audio related content</li>
<li>Manage day-to-day operations of the sound designers</li>
<li>Train and guide other sound designers in the proper use of our tools</li>
<li>Use Io’s proprietary tools setting up audio</li>
<li>Create prototypes and sound intentions proving audio setups and technical choices while identifying needs</li>
<li>Create sound effects and audio assets using pre-recorded material or methods like synthesis, recording, Foley recording etc.</li>
<li>Create and maintain documentation on tools, workflows, best practices, and guidelines</li>
<li>Ensure that game audio playback is as intended and fit for commercial release</li>
<li>Deliver content on schedule and within technical limitations</li>
<li>Work with programmers and designers to ensure outstanding audio properly fitting the game design requirements</li>
</ul>
<h4>Required Skills</h4>
<ul>
<li>Understanding of the SCRUM process and how to lead disciplines across multiple sprint teams in an agile environment</li>
<li>Accomplished Sound Designer with experience working in the video games industry having produced work for at least one published title</li>
<li>Ability to manage in-house team of sound designers and give qualified and constructive feedback</li>
<li>Excellent sound design skills both in regards to technical understanding and creative solutions</li>
<li>Professional recording experience - location and studio based</li>
<li>Experience recording, integrating and mixing audio for game projects</li>
<li>Good at working with direction on your own and/or in a team</li>
<li>Ability to look past immediate technical constraints and work solution oriented</li>
<li>Ability to respond elegantly to difficult creative changes, often late in the process</li>
<li>Self-motivated towards solving creative problems and technical challenges</li>

<p>In this position, you will work closely together with the experienced engine team and you will report to the Glacier 2 management team on a daily basis.</p>
<p>You will be working on initiatives that ensure we reach our deadlines with focus on both time and quality. Furthermore you will provide advice on test and milestone strategies and facilitate that the QA members can perform on the project.</p>
<p>You will be reporting to the Producer on a day to day basis but you will also be a part of our QA in the company and participate constantly improving and developing our QA processes in the studio. This is driven by the QA Section Manager whom you will report to in terms of personnel responsibility.</p>
<p>You will become part of an international and agile environment, where people are very passionate about their work and value an informal and relaxed tone of communication.</p>
<h4>Basic Roles and Responsibilities</h4>

<li>Implement the QA process and test plan in the Glacier 2 team.</li>
<li>Work closely together with the management team to help ensure we deliver quality in our releases and meet our milestones.</li>
<li>Responsible for guiding the testers on the Glacier 2 team and help and support them to be able to work in line with the QA- and test processes of the studio.</li>
<li>Responsible for reporting the status of QA efforts, risks, and results.</li>

<li>Be an active part of the development and maintenance of the QA processes in the studio. This includes test tools, documentation, and internal education of testers.</li>

<p><strong>Montréal (21 November, 2011)</strong> – The Square Enix Group, an integrated entertainment group, has today announced plans for further expansion in Montréal with the growth of its Eidos-Montréal studio and the creation of a new second studio, Square Enix Montréal, to open in 2012.</p>
<p>Eidos-Montréal, a studio which was established in 2007, released its first game, <em>DEUS EX: HUMAN REVOLUTION™;</em> to critical acclaim (Metacritic score of 90% for PC and 89% for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 as of November 20, 2011) earlier this year. <em>DEUS EX: HUMAN REVOLUTION, </em>which has to date shipped over 2 million units worldwide, firmly cemented the studio’s credentials in global development and delivered on its promise to produce AAA games. Eidos-Montréal will now create an additional 100 new jobs, driving work on a third AAA project at the studio, alongside the <em>DEUS EX® </em>and <em>THIEF® </em>franchises. The studio will also expand its state-of-the-art facilities, including in-house audio recording and motion tracking studios and a mini-theatre.</p>
<p>Plans unveiled today also confirmed the creation of Square Enix Montréal, a new second studio for the Square Enix Group in Montréal, which will open in 2012 and create 150 jobs. Tasked with building AAA games for tomorrow's audiences, the studio will be led by Lee Singleton, currently general manager of Square Enix London Studios. Singleton brings over 20 years studio management as well as direct development experience to this role.</p>
<p>The first project at Square Enix Montréal will be to work on a new premium quality game in the award-winning <em>HITMAN®</em> franchise. This further investment will expand the vision for the <em>HITMAN</em> franchise and mean that two studios will now be working on future <em>HITMAN</em> games: IO Interactive, a Square Enix studio based in Copenhagen, creator of the <em>HITMAN</em> franchise is currently developing <em>HITMAN ABSOLUTION™</em> and now Square Enix Montréal also.</p>

<p>The coming four weeks will bring Hitman: Absolution to the masses in a world tour that will see us visiting 3 continents and six countries in a very short time.</p>
<p>First up, we'll be going to the<a href="http://www.eurogamer.net/expo/whats-on#developer-sessions"> </a><a href="http://www.eurogamer.net/expo/whats-on#developer-sessions" target="_blank">Eurogamer Expo</a><a href="http://www.eurogamer.net/expo/whats-on#developer-sessions"> </a>on September 23rd - 25th. We'll be showing off the game three times - once each on Friday (2PM), Saturday (2PM) and Sunday (3PM). After that, it's off to South Africa and <a href="http://www.rageexpo.co.za/" target="_blank">Rage </a>on September 29th - October 2nd where the game will be shown in a series of intimate sessions along with the new Tomb Raider game. That same weekend, we'll also be goig to <a href="http://www.gamefest.es/" target="_blank">Gamefest </a>in Madrid for the largest consumer show in Spain.</p>
<p><a href="http://igromir-expo.ru/" target="_blank">Igromir </a>in Moscow is next on October 5th to 9th and is a massive venture - 80.000 consumers will get the chance to enjoy Absolution before we join Microsoft for their community event at The Gathering in Reading, England. We round off the tour in New York (where else) at the <a href="http://www.newyorkcomiccon.com/" target="_blank">New York Comicon</a> running from October 13th to October 16th.</p>
