Inside IOI Malmö's new creative residence

The new studio space is the result of collaboration with local architects and designers, to create a bright and innovative space in downtown Malmö.”

Welcome to Östergatan 20, the new base of IOI Malmö. This new and bright studio space is the result of a year-long collaboration and effort between IOI and local architects and designers. IOI Malmö first opened its doors in 2019 at Game Habitat. Since then, we have grown a lot, and we finally needed a space of our own. A space where innovation and collaboration come together across three beautiful floors in downtown Malmö. Divided by discipline, our semi-open working spaces facilitate cross-project interaction and fresh perspectives. “Our space is thoughtfully designed to maximize clarity and focus, with minimal clutter and ample natural light. Embrace your surroundings with lush plants and stunning game artworks and help shape our space to embody the incredible people who work here.” – Sandra Mondahl.

When you feel good, you can do good work. That's why we've designed our space to be the ultimate foundation for comfort and productivity. We believe that a space that's conducive to creativity and focus is essential to doing good work. This is an environment that supports your well-being and helps you produce your best work. “We're all more creative and efficient with the right tools and surroundings. Our meeting rooms offer different furniture and features, always with connectivity, co-creation, and play in mind.” – Mahmoud El Mowafey.

The studio is where people come together. From social events in our spacious kitchen to rooftop BBQs and game nights, there are plenty of opportunities to have fun and connect with your colleagues. We invite you to check out Club Hölle, our neon-lit, Berlin-themed gaming lounge with gaming battle-stations, consoles, and all your favorite games for a night of fun. And when you're ready to stretch your legs, head to our top-floor gym for a workout. With activities like board game nights and gardening clubs, there's something for everyone.

IOI Malmö is in the vibrant and historic Caroli neighborhood. This neighborhood is an absolute gem for foodies, boasting numerous cafes, bakeries, restaurants, and parks that are sure to delight your senses. Take a stroll and immerse yourself in the rich cultural offerings of this area, and you'll soon discover why Caroli is a beloved destination for locals and tourists alike. “The Central Station is but a stone’s throw away, which seamlessly connects our Malmö and Copenhagen studios. And since the Copenhagen Airport is on the way, our Barcelona and Istanbul studios are never far away.” – Martin Buhl, COO.

We are very excited to spread our wings in our new space and various events, catering to both industry professionals and the local community. We warmly invite you to join us and explore the exciting opportunities that await you in our new space. We look forward to welcoming you and hope you'll keep an eye out for our upcoming activities. Our doors are open, we can’t wait to have you.
